Position Description
Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions
Teach culinary courses primarily at the undergraduate level for the Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management program including both course and lab material. Develop courses of interest to the student population both in and outside of the department.

Required Qualifications
Ability to teach effectively. Job assignment can be full-time or part-time depending on the needs of the department. This position will be classified as Security Sensitive and requires a criminal background check if selected for employment.

Preferred Qualifications
Significant culinary experience is required. A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated food production management required. Eighteen (18) hours of graduate course work is required. Culinary certification and/or a bachelors degree in hospitality management or closely related field is preferred. Demonstrated training and teaching experience, particularly in a culinary laboratory/restaurant, is desirable.
